Ethical Issues in Social Psychological Research


  1. Obtaining informed consent from research participants

Informed consent: A research subject’s agreement to participate after being informed of any potential risks and of his/her right to withdraw at any time without penalty.
Debriefing: A discussion of procedures hypotheses and subject reactions at the completion of the study.
